Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-18

1. Agreement to Terms

By using the Empire Tankless website or requesting tankless water heater services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

Empire Tankless provides tankless water heater installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance services across the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties). Services are performed by licensed California plumbing contractors who partner with us.

3. Virtual Estimates and Quotes

Virtual estimates are provided free of charge based on photos and information you submit. Estimates are subject to confirmation by a licensed plumber on-site. Unforeseen conditions discovered on-site (hidden corrosion, code issues, accessibility problems) may adjust the final quote. We will notify you before performing additional work.

4. Pricing and Payment

Prices quoted are typical ranges based on Inland Empire pricing as of the quote date. Final pricing depends on the specific scope of work. Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements are made in writing or through approved financing.

5. Warranty

Empire Tankless and its partner plumbers provide:

  • Installation labor: 1-year warranty on workmanship
  • Repair labor: 90-day warranty on the specific repair performed
  • Unit warranty: Per manufacturer terms (typically 10–15 years on heat exchangers from Rinnai, Navien, and Rheem)

Manufacturer warranties require documented annual maintenance. We provide service records when you use our maintenance service. Skipped maintenance may void manufacturer warranty coverage.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your home and existing equipment
  • Allow safe access to the installation or service location
  • Notify us of any hazardous conditions (gas leaks, structural damage, pests)
  • Maintain annual descaling service per warranty requirements (Inland Empire hard water requires this)

7. Cancellation

You may cancel a scheduled appointment up to 24 hours before the appointment without charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a service fee equal to dispatched labor time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by California law, our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not limit liability for damages we are legally required to cover.

9. Permits and Code Compliance

All installation work includes proper permitting with Riverside or San Bernardino County. We comply with current California Title 24 energy code, gas code, and electrical code requirements. Customer is responsible for any pre-existing code violations discovered during work, though we will quote remediation when applicable.

10. SoCalGas Rebate Documentation

We provide install documentation for SoCalGas rebate applications. The rebate is paid by SoCalGas directly to the property owner; we do not submit on your behalf, and we make no guarantees about rebate amounts or approval timelines, which are at SoCalGas's discretion.

11. Website Use

Content on this website is for general information. We strive for accuracy but make no warranties about completeness or current applicability. Always confirm specifics with a licensed plumber before making decisions.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Riverside County, California.

13. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
